You must be at least 18 years old to use the Site, join our waitlist or newsletter, or register for an event. By using the Site you confirm that you meet this requirement and that any information you give us is accurate.

The Site describes Lume, our work on hormone rhythms, and our progress toward a product. It lets you learn about us, sign up for updates, register for events, contact us, and apply for roles. We may add, change, or remove parts of the Site at any time without notice.

The Site is for general information about wellness and hormone rhythms. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for the judgment of a qualified healthcare professional. Nothing on the Site, including content about cortisol, sleep, stress, or perimenopause, creates a doctor–patient relationship with Lume or anyone who works for us, even where the author is a physician. Always consult a healthcare professional before making decisions about your health, and never disregard or delay seeking professional advice because of something you read on the Site. If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your local emergency number.

Any quiz, survey, or self-assessment on the Site is for your own reflection and to help us understand our community. It does not measure your hormone levels and its results are not a clinical finding.

We describe on the Site what we are building and what we hope it will do. Those statements describe our goals and our research direction. They are not promises about the features, availability, timing, accuracy, or regulatory status of any future product. Joining our waitlist does not create an order, reserve a unit, or entitle you to any product, price, or delivery date.

When you subscribe to our newsletter or join our waitlist, we will send you emails about Lume. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any message. When you register for an event, the details of that event (date, location, capacity, any cost) are as stated on the event page; we may change or cancel an event, and if we do we will try to tell registrants in advance. Events may be photographed or recorded; if so, the event page or a notice at the venue will say so, and you can tell us if you prefer not to appear.

When using the Site you agree not to:

• Use it for any unlawful purpose or in a way that infringes anyone's rights.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, our systems, or other users' information.
• Scrape, crawl, or copy the Site or its content by automated means, other than search engines indexing public pages.
• Interfere with the Site's operation, including by introducing malware or overloading our servers.
  Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.
• Submit false or misleading information in any form, application, or survey.

We may restrict or block access to the Site for anyone who breaches these Terms.

The Site and everything on it, including text, graphics, logos, images, videos, product designs, and the Lume name and marks, belong to Lume or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may view, download, and print pages for your personal, non commercial use, provided you keep all copyright and other notices intact. Any other use, including reproducing, republishing, or creating derivative works from our content, requires our written permission. "Lume," "Lume Health," and our logos may not be used without our consent.

If you send us feedback, ideas, suggestions, or other material through the Site, by email, or at an event, you agree that we may use it for any purpose without restriction or compensation to you, and that we are not obliged to keep it confidential. Please do not send us anything you consider proprietary. This does not apply to personal information, which is governed by our Privacy Policy, or to material shared under a separate written agreement with us.

The Site links to third-party websites and uses third-party services such as newsletter, event, and analytics platforms. We do not control those sites or services and are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and policies.

The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that the Site's content is complete, current, or free of errors, or that the Site is free of viruses or other harmful components.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lume and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use the Site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for all claims relating to the Site will not exceed one hundred US dollars (US$100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

You agree to indemnify and hold Lume harmless from any claims, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site will be resolved exclusively in the state or  federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at admin@lumehealth.io and give us 30 days to try to resolve it informally.

We may update these Terms from time to
time. We will post the revised version on the Site and update the effective date. Your continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the revised Terms.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Lume about the Site. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
